Please note that we are freelance translators; we are not a translation agency. This is why we can offer you competitive rates.

We translate only in the Italian-Japanese-Italian and English-Italian language pairs. One of our strengths? We vare two native speakers - in Italian and Kapanese reespectively (this is our combined resume) - who work side by side. By knowing well the partner's language too we perfectly understand the source language and correctly translate into the target language without the least loss of nuances. Therefore, as our translations do not require a further native speaker check, they are generally ready for use.

As founders of Aliseo Japan and at the same time independent translators, we work in full autonomy and with equal enthusiasm for either direct clients and Translation Agencies. This is the only way for us to provide you with the most relevant and exact quotation.

If possible, please send us the source text in an editable format.

Besides allowing us to make a precise word count of the source text, we will also be able to utilize all our translation aid tools to guarantee you a higher term consistency. (this is particularly useful with technical translations.)

Please leave us all the time needed.

A hurriedly made translation is never satisfactory. Apart from the translation process itself, the availability of more time to repeatedly read it afterwards is a key factor to providing the high quality you need.

Please give us as much context as possible.

With technical translations, in particular, even if we are familiar with the subject matter any sort of drawing, picture or any other available reference can help us better understand the job.

Please be patient if we ask you clarifications.

This is also in your interest of the translation quality. While you may consider certain questions obvious, your answers might provide us with a a particular piece of information to complete the mosaic.

Translating only lists of words...

...without the necessary context is often very difficult, and can also lead to very ambiguous results.

Always have us engaged in the post-translation check (proofreading, editing or crosscheck), if any.

After entrusting your translations to us, it is right and wise to have us participate in the post-trsnaltion process should you decide to have out translation checked by a third party. Please remember that the editor/proofreader can make mistakes even more than the original translator, unless you you are absolutely certain that of the latter he is less infallible.
