Italian and Japanese Translation

We provide Italian-Japanese-Italian and English to Japanese translation services in a wide range of technical and non-technical fields.
We are freelance translators, not a translation company. This is why we can offer you competitive rates.

We are a team made up of an Italian native speaker and a Japanese native speaker with over twenty years of experience as former company executives in Italy and fourteen as professional translators in Japan.

We translate exclusively between Italian, Japanese and English (except into English). We are two native speakers - an Italian and a Japanese respectively (this is our combined resume) - who know very well the partner's language and when it's needed we work side by side to perfectly understand the source language (Italian, Japanese or English) and correctly/faithfully translate into the target language (Japanese or Italian). Therefore, as our translations do not require a further mother tongue check they are generally ready for use.

Besides the most popular file formats (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) we can translate directly with InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Our CAT tools are Dejavu X (preferred), MemoQ and Trados

As independent translators we work in full autonomy - i.e. without relying upon other translators - for either direct clients and translation companies, as a matter of fact our best clients. Besides, thanks to the very good knowledge of the English language which we learnt also while working for several high-tech and worldwide leading companies, we can provide technical, legal and business translations in a wide range of fields. This professional background gives us the necessary operative and efficiency-driven thinking that make us particularly qualified, besides being a source of the utmost satisfaction, to work closely with small and medium-size Italian and Japanese companies.

Please see our translation experience, with the fields we can handle with confidence, and our FAQ page. Please also see why we will deserve your trust (an example of Japanese to Italian translation flow).

Your contribution, please.
Please send us the source text for our inspection.
This is the only way to provide you with a relevant and accurate quotation.
If possible, please send us the source text in an editable format.
We will then be able to use our translation aid tools to guarantee the necessary consistency and leave the original lay-out intact.
Please leave us all the time we need.
Hurry never helps. Apart from the translation itself, more time available to read it several times before delivery helps providing the higher quality you are looking for.
Context, please.
Particularly with technical translations, any sort of drawing or picture will help us better understand everything.
Please be patient if we make questions.
While you might consider certain questions obvious, your answers will be useful pieces of information to understand everything.
Translating only lists of words...
...without the necessary context is often very difficult, and can also lead to very ambiguous results.
